This 33 year-old woman was referred for an abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) consultation by her Ob/Gyn. Following two pregnancies, she was unhappy with the appearance of her abdomen. Examination demonstrated a prominent lower abdomen with a wide separation between her abdominal muscles in the middle (diastasis), as well as a flap of skin and fatty tissue at her belt line.
A full abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) was performed, and the muscle separation was corrected (diastasis repair). The postoperative photographs were taken 6 months after surgery.
