Nose Surgery (rhinoplasty)

Rhinoplasty, or surgery to reshape the nose, can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems. The results are unique to each individual, and depend upon such factors as skin condition and thickness, nasal and facial structure, genetic contributions, and age.

Individuals generally request this type of surgery because they don't like the shape or size of their nose or they are having difficulty breathing and wish to have it surgically corrected. Rhinoplasty is intended to produce a more attractive nasal shape and/or a nose in better proportion to other facial features.
