Chemical Peels

Our medical-grade chemical peels are rapid exfoliating treatments that accelerate the removal of damaged surface skin cells and minimize facial blemishes, fine lines, uneven pigmentation, and brown age spots, revealing softer, smoother, more youthful and healthier-looking skin.

Chemical peels vary according to their specific ingredients and their strength. The most superficial peels are those using alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA), such as lactic or glycolic acid. Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels are stronger, and have a greater depth of peel compared to AHA's.

Dr. Mayfield personally performs these popular nonsurgical skin rejuvenation treatments in our integrated Medical Spa.

BIOMEDIC MICROPEEL

An alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) peel, using lactic or glycolic acid, that is safe and effective for all skin types. AHAs are mild naturally occurring acids found in fruits and other foods. The Micropeel reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and pore size, while improving the texture and pigmentation of your skin. The result is a reduction in the visible signs of aging and environmental damage with minimal or no downtime! For maximum results, we recommend a six treatment program in four to six week intervals.

BIOMEDIC MICROPEEL PLUS

An in-office beta-hydroxy acid (salicylic acid) peel ideal for skin damaged by environmental factors as well as acne-prone skin. Salicylic acid is found naturally in willow bark, sweet birch bark, and wintergreen leaves. The Micropeel Plus reduces fine lines, wrinkles, acne, acne scarring and pore size while improving the texture and pigmentation of your skin. The result is a reduction in the visible signs of aging with minimal downtime. Flaking, mild itching, and minimal irritation following the procedure may last for several days. For maximum results, we recommend a six treatment program in two to six week intervals.
